The turbo V6 and 10-speed automatic provide a strong and comfortable driving experience, and the optional 14-inch infotainment display looks terrific within the densely packed interior. Although the actual fuel efficiency is disappointing, this vehicle is of good value.
The full-size Toyota Tundra pickup truck underwent a complete facelift just one year ago. It is substantially more powerful, capable, and comfortable than the generation before it, but given that the latter has been available since 2007, it shouldn’t come as a surprise. The new turbocharged V6 engine, one of the biggest upgrades, provides roughly the same amount of power as the old Tundra’s V8 engine but produces more torque, which is useful for towing, and it has significantly better EPA-estimated fuel efficiency. A hybrid V6 Powertrain is also an option, giving the Tundra more power than the conventional V6.
