All values are subject to the Nigeria Customs VIN Valuation for standard and non-standard VINs.
There is a new VIN valuation policy implemented by customs that has hiked the value of underage vehicles (2014 and older). This simply means we can only import vehicles that are 10 years old and younger, or newer. When we import older vehicles, we must pay the value of the oldest year allowed by customs. Does it mean that one cannot import mercedes benz class of 1996 because of the year it was produced?
